A village on the sunside of the southern Valle d'Isarco, between vineyards, fruittrees and patureland. On good-marked paths you can walk on a territory starting from the bottom of the valley up to alpine pastures. From the Corno di Renon, a mountain on 2260 meters of altitude, you have a unique view to the Dolomites and many mountain ranges.
Kollmann with the Friedburg Castle,
an ancient custom-house of the 15th century.
Saubach
a very small village, where you can visit a gothic church with a remarkable altar in the style of the well-known sculptor Michael Pacher.
From Barbiano you have a good view to the Trostburg Castle in Ponte Gardena, the residence of the well-known minnesinger Oswald von Wolkenstein.
Dreikirchen
was once a thermal spa. There are three small gothic churches. You can reach this very lovely and idyllic place walking on lovely paths in about 40 min. from Barbiano.
